Why does oil accumulate in the intercooler?
In normal operation, a small amount of oil vapour passes through the PCV system into the intake. Over time, this coats the intercooler with an oily residue that hardens into sludge. If the turbo oil seals have failed, the amount of oil in the intercooler increases dramatically. GarageNation removes and degreases the intercooler, and diagnoses the root cause.

A boost pipe leak is a crack or loose clamp in the pressurised air piping between the turbo and the engine intake.
