GarageNation assesses injector IMA/C2I calibration coding into ECU after injector replacement for precise fuel delivery for compatible Audi A6 variants in Hyderabad. Typical estimate: ₹3,000 – ₹8,000; workshop time: 1–3 hours; coverage: Coding documented in service record.
Variant disclaimer: Audi A6 has multiple engines and transmissions. This page is not a claim that every variant uses this component; we confirm VIN, engine/transmission data and diagnostic results before approving work.
Repair is considered where testing confirms a serviceable component and safe parts availability. Replacement is recommended only for confirmed wear, damage or a failed test. A written estimate follows diagnosis; no work starts without approval.
What is diesel injector coding (IMA code) and why does it matter?
Every common-rail injector is manufactured to a tolerance of ±3% in flow volume. The IMA (individual measuring adaptation) code — stamped on the injector body — tells the ECU how much to adjust fuel quantity for that specific injector to achieve the correct target flow. Without coding, one cylinder may run 10–15% rich or lean, causing rough idle, smoke, and P0201–P0204 codes.
Can any workshop do injector coding?
Only workshops with OEM-level diagnostic tools can write IMA codes. VCDS for VW/Audi, BMW ISTA, Renault CLIP, Ford IDS — not any generic OBD scanner. GarageNation performs injector coding for all common-rail diesel systems including Bosch, Denso, Delphi, and Siemens piezo injectors.
